Back to Work Fund (BWF)
When work suddenly stops or no longer feels certain, a personal and human approach makes all the difference. Through the Back to Work Fund, as an employee recognised as unfit for work or as a jobseeker, you can access professional guidance towards a sustainable return to work.
Oh My People is a recognised service provider offering tailored programmes. Together, we take the time to look at your situation, your energy and your options, so you can move forward into work that suits you, with confidence.
Who is this for?
You qualify for a Back to Work programme if:
1.You were recognised as unfit for work and your employment contract ended because you are no longer able to work for medical reasons
Your employment contract was terminated by your employer on or after 1 April 2024.
You were on long-term sick leave at that time.
You must submit your application within 6 months of the end of your employment contract.
Or
2. You have been unfit for work for more than one year
You are an employee or job seeker.
You have been recognised as unfit for work for more than one year.
This applies from 1 April 2025.
You do not qualify if:
You are already enrolled in an approved retraining programme through the Medical Council for Disability.

What does the programme look like?
Intake (1,5 hours)
We start with your story. We listen, ask questions and draw up a clear personal plan to give your programme direction.Career exploration
We look at which roles suit your talents, your health, and your wishes. Grounded in reality, but with an eye on what is possible.Personal coaching
You’ll work on resilience, self-confidence and managing change after illness or redundancy, at your own pace.Practical support
We help you with your CV, cover letter and job interviews, and explore job opportunities or work placements together.Follow-up & aftercare
We remain involved once you are back at work, checking in and stepping in where needed.
What is included?
1 intake session of 1.5 hours
6 coaching sessions of 1.5 hours
2 closing sessions of 2 x 30 minutes
Exercises, practical tools and personal support
Sessions in person or online, near you
A programme of up to 6 months, at your own pace

How do you apply for the Back to Work voucher?
How do you apply for the Back to Work voucher?
1. Submit your application to RIZIV
Fill in the official application form and mention Oh My People as your recognised service provider. You can do this in two ways:
By post
download the form as a PDF or request a paper copy.
Send the completed form to:
Dienst voor Uitkeringen – RIZIV
Galileelaan 5/0, 1210 Brussel
Your application form must include the following:
- First and last name
- National registration number (RRN)
- E-mail address
- Address (street, house number, flat number if applicable, municipality, postal code, country)
- Health insurance fund (you can find your fund number on the RIZIV website)
- Your chosen recognised service provider
- Start date of guidance by the service provider (if known)
- End date of guidance by the service provider (if known)
- Whether your employment contract was terminated because you are no longer able to work for medical reasons
- The date your employment contract ended
- Whether you are applying on your own initiative or as part of a reintegration plan drawn up by the Back to Work coordinator at your health insurance fund

2. Processing your application
RIZIV will process your application within 45 days.
If approved, you will receive a voucher worth up to €1,800, valid for 6 months.
3. Start your programme with Oh My People
Once you receive your voucher, we will arrange a first appointment and your programme can get under way.
Good to know
The voucher is valid for 6 months only.
The programme runs at your own pace, in person or online.
There is no cost to you.
