Day One Attitude
Workshop: Setting Boundaries in a World That Never Stops
Change and uncertainty have become part of everyday life. The challenge is no longer how to avoid them, but how to move through them without losing energy along the way. In this workshop, participants explore their own responses to uncertainty and learn how to keep moving forward, even when they do not yet have all the answers.

Session Content
Sometimes, it is not the workload itself that weighs on us most. It is the feeling of no longer knowing where we are heading. Reorganizations come and go. Roles evolve. Expectations keep shifting. And despite our efforts to keep pace, the ground beneath our feet can start to feel less certain.
In this workshop, we explore what that experience does to us. Elke Van Hoof explains how the brain responds to ambiguity, why uncertainty consumes so much energy, and why we instinctively reach for control when familiar reference points disappear. A natural response, but one that can become exhausting when change becomes the norm.
Participants learn to recognize their own reactions to uncertainty more clearly. What do we do when answers take longer than expected to arrive? When do we tend to withdraw or try to control everything? And when are we able, instead, to remain open and curious about what is unfolding?
This is where the Day One Mindset comes in. When we encounter something new, we are often more open, more curious, and more willing to ask questions. We do not yet feel the need to understand or control everything. Elke shows how to rediscover this way of approaching situations through real-life examples: a decision we have been postponing for months, a situation in which we feel stuck, or a change we struggle to accept.
By the end of the workshop, each participant leaves with a personal intention. Not another list of good resolutions, but a simple and concrete direction for moving forward differently.
