Markets fluctuate, customers are hesitant, and clear answers are rarely available. Yet it turns out that the biggest problem isn’t the risk itself, but the uncertainty. That’s because our brains quickly perceive uncertainty as a threat. Even before anything goes wrong, it goes into stress mode: slowing down, checking, and procrastinating. For entrepreneurs with a low tolerance for uncertainty, every decision therefore feels more burdensome than necessary. What is rationally a manageable risk becomes an emotional roadblock.

The urge to control is counterproductive

The instinct? More control. Additional analyses, constant adjustments, postponing decisions. But that backfires. The more you try to create certainty, the greater the sense of uncertainty becomes. Doubts mount, and decision-making slows down.

Not more certainty, but a different way of dealing with uncertainty

The solution lies not in greater certainty, but in dealing with uncertainty differently. By recognizing when you slip into control mode, you create space again for clear thinking. You learn to distinguish between real risks and energy-sapping doubt, thereby refocusing your attention on what moves your business forward.

[184
283
post-2993","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-article","tag-voka-march-2026
["GET
