Build a strategic wellbeing policy step by step

A strategic wellbeing policy is not set up in an afternoon, only to end up buried in a stack of documents. You build sustainable change through a process that links knowledge, skills, motivation, courage, and behavior. Oh My People therefore works in five steps: from knowing, to being able, wanting, daring, and ultimately doing. Each process is custom-made, because the starting point lies in what is truly happening within your organization.

Why a human-centered approach

A keynote can inspire. A workshop can spark something in your team. You only see sustainable change when knowledge and skills converge with motivation and courage, and translate into lasting behavior. Oh My People therefore does not opt for one-off interventions, but for a process that consciously moves through those five steps, with a clear direction and a rhythm you can maintain.

The five steps
  • Knowing. Starts with getting clear on what is going on. Where are the signals, who feels the pressure, what do the numbers show, and what do you only hear in conversations?
  • Being able. Revolves around what people need to truly move, from managers to teams and individuals: skills, but also time, structure, and safety.
  • Wanting. Makes the ‘why’ concrete, so that change is not an imposed plan, but a choice. From the board to the work floor.
  • Daring. Is the first step in practice: small experiments, with room to fail.
  • Doing. Anchors everything in policy, culture, and daily habits, so that it does not rely on a single driving force within the organization.

From foundation to excellence

Every organization can start from wherever they stand today. Our four pillars follow a progression: Day One Attitude lays the foundation in leadership and culture, Making Stress Work builds stability by learning to read stress signals, We’ve Got Your Back focuses on growth through sustainable return to work, and AI Starts With People helps organizations excel with AI as an ally and the human as a compass. This way, your organization grows step by step toward a wellbeing policy that continues to work, even when things get tense.

So, everything does not have to happen at once. You start where the need is greatest and build from there, while the process grows along with what you encounter on the way. In practice, this sometimes means: first letting one team catch its breath, because that is where the greatest gain lies.

How do we work?

We always start with the question of who you are as an organization and where you want to go. The question you pose is rarely the whole story. Sometimes the obstacle is not where everyone is pointing, and sometimes no one knows exactly what the problem is, but everyone feels that it creates friction. In the introductory meeting, we figure that out together.

From that initial problem statement, we build a process together with clear timing, one fixed point of contact within the Oh My People network, and enough touchpoints to see what is moving.

For HR, this means: fewer fragmented initiatives and more insight into what works, for both people and the organization. For the board: a framework to make choices regarding wellbeing, change, technology, and the future of work. One policy, instead of yet another project on a full agenda.

What you can expect

  • A policy with strategic coherence. Not a calendar full of separate initiatives that work against each other.
  • A network of experts. The right person for your question joins in.
  • Fast and personal contact, within 48 hours. You won’t end up in an automated email chain.

  • More than 25 years of experience in research and practice, built up on the work floor itself.

Frequently asked questions

How do you build a sustainable wellbeing policy?2026-07-23T12:05:02+00:00

A sustainable wellbeing policy is built in five steps: knowing, being able, wanting, daring, and doing. Each step builds upon the previous one, ensuring that knowledge eventually becomes anchored in behavior and policy across the four pillars.

How long does a process take?2026-07-23T12:05:17+00:00

That depends on the specific request and the pillar involved. A workshop can open doors in a single day; however, structural change in leadership or culture requires a process spanning several months. We will determine this together during the initial consultation.

Does Oh My People also work with smaller organizations?2026-07-23T12:05:34+00:00

Yes. Every trajectory is custom-made, from SMEs to large organizations. A significant part of the offering is eligible for the SME portfolio.
